A Private Car Rental Joint Venture is an arrangement where qualified vehicle owners partner with Box Truck Shawty LLC to place approved vehicles into our private car rental operation. Box Truck Shawty manages the rental process and eligible net revenue is divided according to the terms of the Joint Venture Agreement.
Once your vehicle has been approved and activated, Box Truck Shawty manages the rental process, including renter placement, rental payments, and applicable rental operations. Vehicle acceptance and activation are subject to completion of our application, agreement, onboarding, and verification process.
There is no guaranteed amount of revenue or profit.
Actual performance can depend on factors including vehicle type, rental demand, utilization, rental rates, downtime, maintenance, repairs, expenses, renter payment performance and other operating conditions.
Vehicles are rented to approved renters through Box Truck Shawty's private car rental operation. Vehicle owners are not expected to locate or independently manage renters placed through the Joint Venture Program.
The Joint Venture uses a 50/50 split of net rental revenue. Net revenue is calculated after applicable processing fees, refunds, chargebacks, unpaid tolls, and other authorized expenses or deductions as provided in the Joint Venture Agreement.
The vehicle owner remains responsible for routine maintenance, mechanical repairs, insurance, deductibles, normal wear and tear, pre-existing conditions, and other owner-related vehicle expenses as outlined in the Joint Venture Agreement. Responsibility for renter-caused damage is handled according to the applicable rental agreement and Joint Venture Agreement.
Financed vehicles may require additional review.
Potentially. Financed or jointly owned vehicles may require additional documentation or authorization. Owners are responsible for ensuring that participation in the program does not violate the terms of any financing, lease, insurance, or other agreement affecting the vehicle.
Yes.
Applicants interested in submitting multiple vehicles can identify that on the application.
Damage is handled according to the circumstances of the incident, the applicable rental agreement, insurance coverage, and the Joint Venture Agreement. Participation continues according to the terms of the executed Joint Venture Agreement. An owner may request to withdraw a vehicle by providing 21 days' written notice. If the vehicle is in an active rental, the applicable rental generally must be completed before the vehicle is withdrawn, subject to the terms of the agreement.
